Are you an experienced Stock Condition Surveyor looking for a new opportunity?

As we continue to expand and strengthen our national client portfolio, Pennington Choices is looking for qualified Stock Condition Surveyors to join our Survey Services team across the UK. In this role, you'll conduct stock condition surveys on domestic properties, largely to establish condition, age, repairs and remaining life of building components, but also to establish energy characteristics and legislative compliance.

Key Details:
 • Payment: Rates are per completed survey, varying by property archetype.
 • Completion Standard: Payment is made only for fully completed, high-quality surveys.
 • Expenses: Travel, accommodation, and other expenses are not covered separately - they are included in the survey rate.
 • Location: Projects are nationwide, so a willingness to travel is beneficial.

£28* per survey - Block Survey (communal and external where applicable)
£28* per survey - House Survey (internal and external survey)
£24* per survey - Flat Survey (internal survey only)
£24* per survey - Garage Survey (external survey only)
£25* per survey - EPC/RdSAP Data Collection Survey

 •   In-house Scheduling Team
Pennington Choices assign your workload and generate tenant letters that include your contact details, allowing tenants to reach out directly to arrange appointments.
You will receive tenants' contact details, enabling you to call and schedule appointments at a convenient time.
We can send bulk text messages to all tenants if required, and our scheduling team can also assist with booking appointments on your behalf.

 •  Bonus Scheme
Earn a £1 bonus per survey for every survey completed within the month, provided you meet your agreed weekly survey target. For example, if your weekly target is 30 surveys and you complete 120 over a four-week month, you will receive a £120 bonus, invoiced at the end of the month.
No Access Payment: Receive £2 per property where access was not gained after three recorded attempts (time and date stamped photos of the front door on each visit will be required in SimPRO)

 •    Referral Bonus
If you know any qualified surveyors interested in working with Pennington Choices, you could earn a £250 referral incentive. The bonus is awarded once your referred candidate completes three months of work, meeting agreed standards and targets.

 •    Data Collection
We use a cloud-based data collection system that operates live in the field on any device (tablet/mobile phone) and any operating system (Android/iOS).
       •  Our data collection tool, SafetyCulture, enables surveyors to capture all relevant stock condition data, including photographs for each survey component. Free text sections allow for additional notes and actions based on site observations.
      •  We also use SimPRO, a workflow management application for invoicing, recording no access, and job scheduling, which integrates with SafetyCulture.
Both systems help surveyors efficiently complete surveys in the field while also closing down completed jobs to generate their weekly invoices.
The no-access recording feature ensures Pennington Choices and its clients receive real-time data on access attempts.

About you

You must have experience of undertaking stock condition surveys and be able to evidence this. Experience in HHSRS/construction/surveying is required, and an energy qualification would be an advantage.

You will need to:

 •    have experience in undertaking stock condition and energy surveys.
 •    have good working knowledge of HHSRS.
 •    be organised, reliable and can be trusted to adhere to targets.
 •    have good communicator skills.

All successful applicants must have their own transport and a DBS check will be required before commencement of any surveys.
