Johnnie Johnson Housing Trust – Electrical periodic inspections

Johnnie Johnson Housing Trust needed a programme of periodic electrical inspections on approximately 300 units in Greater Manchester and the North East, aimed at procuring the necessary repairs.

 

The Challenge

Johnnie Johnson had previously instructed a contractor to both conduct the periodic inspection and to then carry out any repairs. This had resulted in a lack of transparency over the need for and scope of the remedial works, as well as over value for money.

 

What We Did

We planned and delivered a programme of full periodic inspections of the electrical installations. Any remedial work that was identified was arranged using Johnnie Johnson’s schedule of rates, complete with target cost for ease of procurement and contractor instruction.

 

We delivered the programme on time and within budget, while reducing the levels of remedial works required. Just as importantly, our involvement led to greater transparency, probity and value for money.
