With phase 1 of Awaab's Law now in force, housing providers have begun embedding the new requirements into their processes, identifying lessons learnt, and developing best practices for managing damp, mould, and condensation.

This report explores the challenges organisations continue to face, the lessons learnt during the first months of implementation, and the practical steps being taken to prepare for phases 2 and 3 of Awaab's Law, which will extend to additional HHSRS hazards. While this report focuses on damp and mould under phase 1 of Awaab's Law, the legislation will be extended to cover additional HHSRS hazards in phases 2 and 3.
