Recorded on Wednesday 24th January 2024.

In this webinar, our experts speak with the Regulator of Social Housing about the revised regulatory consumer standards and proactive regulation that will apply from April 2024. The Social Housing (Regulation) Act 2023 received Royal Assent in July 2023, introducing a number of new measures to give the Regulator increased powers to assess landlords more routinely. The new consumer regulation regime is fast approaching, and registered providers must understand what will be required to best prepare for it.

Consultation on the draft standards closed in October and the new standards are expected to be published imminently. Registered providers must meet these new standards to ensure tenants live in safe, quality homes, have choice and protection, and can hold landlords to account.

From this webinar, you will discover:

  • How to prepare for and stay compliant with the new consumer regulation.
  • What the revised consumer standards will look like and how they will impact your organisation.
  • Information on submitting Tenant Satisfaction Measures to the Regulator by summer 2024.

It is essential that all RPs, including Councils, understand what will be required, the key expectations of them, and how to plan for these changes. Our experts will help you break this down so you have all the necessary knowledge to prepare for the updates.
