Have you assessed what the Decent Homes Standard proposals will mean for you? Do you know how the changes could impact your housing stock, finances, and Business Plan?

Nearly two decades since its last update, the Decent Homes Standard is being reformed, with the proposed changes tabled and the consultation now underway.

Announced on 2nd July 2025, the updates aim to modernise the standard for today’s housing landscape. Key changes include the introduction of Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards for social rented homes, the removal of component age requirements, and the introduction of a standalone damp and mould criterion.

In this webinar, our panel of experts will discuss their views on the changes and explore how they could reshape responsibilities for housing providers. They will share insights on what the reforms mean in practice and the potential challenges that could arise during the implementation. The session will also revisit your current obligations under the existing standard, including the importance of robust stock condition data, which will remain crucial even after the changes take effect.

From this webinar, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of:

The key proposals in the reformed Decent Homes Standard and how they differ from the current version
What the changes could mean for your organisation
How the standard links with HHSRS updates, Awaab’s Law, and wider consumer regulation
The potential cost, data, and training implications of the reforms
