Recorded live on Wednesday 12th February 2025.

Following the Grenfell Tower tragedy, the fire safety sector is undergoing significant changes to enhance protection measures and rebuild residents' trust in their safety.

A crucial milestone in this ongoing effort was published in December 2024 when the government released its official response to the Emergency Evacuation Information Sharing Plus (EEIS+) consultation. This response, informed by recommendations from Phase 1 of the independent Grenfell Tower Inquiry, will introduce significant updates to improve fire safety for vulnerable residents and streamline processes for Responsible Persons (RPs). This webinar will explore the key takeaways from the consultation response, which buildings the changes will apply to, and the challenges that may arise from the new requirements.

Additionally, a revised version of BS 9991 has also been published, introducing key changes in the design, management, and use of residential buildings. Our expert panel will discuss these updates as well as other notable changes to building regulations for new residential buildings over 18 meters.

Selecting a competent person to carry out Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) also remains crucial in effective fire risk management. This session highlights best practices for ensuring individuals conducting FRAs or other related surveys are qualified and experienced. Our experts draw upon the recent consultation on BS 8674, which focuses on FRA competency and recent changes to FRA competency registers.

From this webinar, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of:
