With the new consumer regulation regime fast approaching, hear from the Regulator of Social Housing about how you should be preparing for your new duties!

Hear special guest Angela Holden, Assistant Director of Consumer Regulation at the Regulator of Social Housing, join our panel of experts to talk all things consumer regulation – this will include the legislation and regulatory framework which is bringing about one of the most ‘fundamental changes to social housing regulation for over a decade’.

The Regulator is making good progress in delivering their implementation plan for the new approach to consumer regulation, in readiness for parliamentary approval of the Social Housing (Regulation) Bill and proposed enactment from 2024. This has included the launch of the Tenant Satisfaction Measures from April 2023 and their pilot inspection programme to test the new approach.

All Registered Providers, including Councils, must understand what their key duties will be and be planning for them. The new regime will apply to Councils and ALMOs, as well as housing associations, and this includes the proactive inspections which many Councils will not have had recent experience of.

Gain a clear understanding of…

  • The work the Regulator has been doing and the key outcomes so far
