January is often viewed as a time in the year to make positive plans and changes for the months ahead. At Pennington Choices, we’re delighted to commence this year with the appointment of a new non-Executive Director/Chairman, Paul Crook. Paul has over twenty years of experience in leadership and operational management, most recently as a member of the Executive Leadership Team at RMS Limited. We talk to him here to find out more about what he hopes to bring to Pennington Choices in 2022.
How did you hear about Pennington Choices?
Over twenty-five years ago at PSEC PLC, I managed Mark Seaborn (Managing Director at Pennington Choices) and, since then, we’ve kept in touch. I have been following the progress of Pennington Choices since Mark set up the organisation twenty years ago.
What excited you about joining the organisation?
Pennington Choices is undergoing a period of significant growth and I’m thrilled to be part of that. It is a great opportunity to use my business planning and operational experience and expertise in the FM, Consultancy, Residential & Commercial Property Management and Building Services sectors; I can’t wait to get started! I hope that my experience, most recently as Chief Operating Officer for a retail change and allied services business group since 2017 demonstrates my strong leadership qualities and I aim to utilise these to support the organisation as they continue to grow.
What can you bring to Pennington Choices?
With over twenty years of experience in leadership and operational management, I’m confident I can bring a renewed sense of purpose around organisational discipline and additional competence around their ongoing growth.
What is first on your agenda?
I’ll be spending time in January and February getting to know the board and heads of service before meeting teams across the three offices in Warrington, Bromley, and Sheffield.
Following Paul’s appointment, the Board of Pennington Choices will comprise Managing Director Mark Seaborn, Commercial Director Gary Bampton, Corporate Services Director Becky Crook, Professional Services Director Sarah Davies, Operations Director Lee Woods, and Non- Executive Director Paul Crook.
