We are proud to announce our most recent accolade of Pennington Choices winning a Gold Award from The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA). Our competency and management of health and safety has been independently verified and noted to be of Gold standard. Therefore clients, staff, suppliers and sub-contractors alike can take assurance that health and safety is an upmost priority at Pennington Choices. Not only does this demonstrate our continued dedication to ensuring that we provide excellent health and safety to all of our employees and clients, but it shows our commitment to taking things seriously at all times.
RoSPA are a non-profit charity with an objective of raising awareness surrounding life-enhancing skills and spreading knowledge for reducing serious accidental injuries. The RoSPA Health and Safety Award is a well-recognised scheme worldwide, where companies can be assessed against certain criteria, receiving an award of either Bronze, Silver or Gold accordingly.
When applying for the award, we answered a series of questions about our culture and how we operate, followed by evidence-based questions demonstrating these practices. RoSPA then evaluated how we manage and respond to accidents when they occur, what control measures we have in place and which processes we have implemented to prevent future accidents from happening.
Health and Safety Manager, David Brown commented “It is how we do things as an organisation which has won us this award. This achievement is notably a result of how we manage our health and safety on a day-to-day basis, it is a testament to how we act as an organisation and great evidence of how we endeavour to consistently promote a positive culture. Whilst it goes without saying that we are constantly striving to always improve, this award confirms that we are on the right track making great progress within the health and safety area, consequently paving the way forward”.
